Private Bareboat Charters
The Port of London Authority does not permit bareboat Ribs to be operated for private / family use on tidal stretches of the River Thames upstream of the Thames Barrier. We are sorry to let you know this and understand that potential bareboat customers will be disappointed. Do note though that the tidal Thames is a major port with significant numbers of high speed traffic movements, complex local traffic restrictions and very fast flowing tides. Additionally all landing stages and piers are privately owned and not open to the public. The Thames in central London is really not suited to bareboat operation.
Commercial bareboat Rib charter
Commercial bareboat rib charter is permissible but please contact us to talk through the scope of the proposed use of the boats and we can advise what commercial qualifications, any insurance considerations and permissions that might be required by the Port. If a local knowledge endorsement is required, then we are able to provide crew that satisfy LKE regulations.
